Life According to Z: Joslyn at 16 months

- won't let us carry her to and from daycare. She has to walk by herself.

- loves smoothies
- knows how to "slide to unlock" on the iPhone and iPad

- gives high fives

- sticks her finger up her nose

- says "ow", even when she doesn't get hurt

- favorite words are "uh oh" and "yeah"

- another airplane flight (10/21), liked looking out the window

- rode a merry go round for the first time (10/21)

- loved climbing up Grandma Sue's stairs

- loves putting together the train track set Daddy got her. Is obsessed with the train table at daycare and loves watching Thomas the Train.

- covers her face with her hand when playing peek a boo

- most understandable word she says is "bubble"

- Rainbow Brite for Halloween

- screams when she doesn't get her way and throws herself on the ground

- grunts when she throws things and says "aaaah"

- no more breastfeeding. Didn't want to nurse one night so I didn't offer the next night and she was fine. Transition was easy.

- points at everything

- is ticklish under her chin and cracks up when I grab her thigh and say "chub chub"
- loves watching "The Monster at the End of this Book" on the iPad. John lets her pick which app she wants to play in the morning and she always picks that one.
- I take off her diaper while she's standing up before her bath and she spreads her legs out and goes "aaaah" when it falls to the ground
- loves dried seaweed
- says "choo choo"
- tries to mimic the animal sounds when playing Peek a Boo Barn, loves the rooster and says "moo" for the cow and "quack quack" for the duck
- lays down in Abby's bed
- loves giving Abby treats or will pick up her bone and bring it to her
- hair is getting really long and curly in the back. Might have to cut her bangs because they are always in her face
- refuses to let me put a clip or headband on her. Screams and runs the other way when I try.
- drinking from a cup or straw cup instead of a soft tip sippy
- wearing 18 months
- wearing size 4 or 5 shoes
