A Week of Fun with GaGa and Grandpa

GaGa and Grandpa came in early May to meet Jack and stay with us for a week. We did a lot of just hanging out at home but we fit in some fun too.  They got to see Jos in action at one of her sports classes, we took a day trip to Newport Beach (complete with a ferry ride in our car!), went to the mall, Jos had art lessons with GaGa and they bought Jos an early birthday present, a picnic table of her very own!  It was also nice to have a couple extra sets of hands to help with the kids and John and I even escaped for a little bit without kids. It was only a trip to Costco but it's the closest thing we've had to a date since Jack was born!  It was great having them here and the visit came to an end too fast.

They brought Dunkin' Donuts with them!

Grandpa is funny.

How many Zwicker men does it take to change a diaper?

GaGa brought Jos a jewelry making kit.

Grandpa liked to talk about sailing with Jack.

And GaGa discovered Jack's favorite spot to sit.

They spent a lot of time looking at his books.

Jos showed GaGa how to making Play-doh sundaes.

And her and Grandpa played kitchen.

More book time with GaGa.

On the ferry to Balboa Island...in our car!

I swallowed my fears and rode the ferris wheel with Jos.

We had to play in the arcade.

The Zwicker men!

We stopped at the beach!

It was Jack's first time seeing the ocean! He was smiling and cooing the whole time.

He liked grabbing Grandpa's mustache.

GaGa created a game with Elmo, and Jos was constantly asking her to do it again.

Jos and her new picnic table!

Art lessons with GaGa.  She learned how to paint flowers.

Grandpa entertained Jack with Elmo.

Already a big fan of Elmo.
