Me and my brothers decided to plan a surprise retirement/going away party for my mom. She will *very* soon be moving to Orange County and we couldn't be more excited! But I know she will greatly miss her co-workers, family and friends that are in San Jose so we had to make sure she had one last big party with them all before her move! We flew into town the day before the party and my mom had NO clue that we were there. We went out to dinner that night and to run a few errands the next day and I was worried my mom would randomly run into us and it would ruin the surprise! I had to lie to my mom a lot for about a month but it was completely worth it to see her reaction when she came into the back yard and saw everyone she loves saying "surprise!". It was priceless! It was a wonderful party to celebrate my amazing mom!

Brian went through all the James Lick yearbooks and found pictures of my mom through her career. My mom's cousin Kathy then made a slideshow. It was so much fun to see all of them, and read what she said to the yearbook staff :)
