Joslyn at 17 Months

- can't take her monthly picture anymore. She won't sit still in her chair.
- starting to play with her babies more, will feed the baby a bottle, wrap the baby in a blanket and tried to put a diaper on the baby.
- tries to repeat everything we say
- signing more and more. Signs more, all done, eat, milk, juice, cereal, please and once did grandma. Also taps on her diaper once in awhile when she needs to be changed. Guess I need to get out the Signing Time DVDs again!
- thinks signing "more" means she can have whatever she wants
- favorite TV shoes: Yo Gabba Gabba (dances to the music), Curious George, Sesame Street and Thomas the Train
- saying more and more, "iPad", "ca ca" for Cookie Monster, "ank cu" for thank you, "uba" for up, "pa pa" for paci, "aye" for again, eye, cheese, juice, "sascha" for every dog she sees or bark she hears, once in awhile she'll say "ahbay"
- loves the book "Peek a Who", turns the page and says "ooo"
- knows how to "slide to unlock" on the iPad
- first Thanksgiving meal, only wanted to eat the Cranberry sauce and loves dried cranberries. She is just like Daddy!
- loves sitting in her Joslyn chair. Very proud of herself that she can climb on it and sit like a big girl.
- whenever a phone rings, she holds her hand up to her ear and says "hi"
- sings the "ashes ashes" part in Ring Around the Rosy and falls down
- holds her finger up to her mouth and goes "shhh". Daddy taught her how to do it.
- can point to her nose and belly button (lifts up her shirt) and opens her mouth when we ask "where's your mouth?". She gets confused on eyes and ear. When we ask "where's your eyes?" she says "eye" and then grabs her ear.
- when I say "just one" and hold up my finger she copies me and holds up her finger too
- started picking out the book she wants to read before bed. Sometimes she'll give me just one but others she keeps bringing them.
- if I'm sitting on the ground and I ask for a hug, she comes running to me and wraps her arms around me. She gives the best hugs!
- if we tell her no or tell her something she doesn't want to hear, she gives us this glare. Attitude already!
- shook her finger and said "no no no" to me. She copies everything we do!
- figured out where her eyes and ears are!
- grabbed a diaper, her changing pad and then laid down on it
- has been a very picky eater lately. She will only eat yogurt, bananas, crackers, fruit crushers, raisins, granola bars, chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries. Pediatrician said it was a normal phase.
- holds my phone up and says "cheese"
- Dr. apt (11/30)- an early 18 month check up before our move. 24lbs 2oz (50%), 2 feet 7 inches (10%)

I think we're going to give up on the monthly pictures.

She loves to be hung upside and Uncle B loves to make her happy.
