Family Day at Sea World

For Christmas, my mom gave us money to go to Sea World for the day and this past Saturday we finally went. It was so nice to have a special family day, just the three of us, and because of a deal they are running right now we can go back anytime in 2013 for free! We had such a great time and still have more to see so we will definitely be going back soon!

As soon as we got there, we headed over to the One Ocean show.  We got great seats (in the splash zone but high enough not to get wet ;)) and really enjoyed the show! I may have teared up a little in the beginning, such a sap!  There is just something amazing about watching your child experience something for the 1st time. Makes me tear up every time!  Since it had been years since I had seen a show like at Marine World and John had never seen anything like it, it was a first for us too and we both loved it!  They put on an incredible show!

Since we didn't have to pay for admission (thanks mom!), we decided to splurge on lunch and Dine with Shamu! So happy we did it. It was my favorite part of the day, and the food was really good too!  You get to eat next to the tank the whales go into for free time and training.  It was awesome!

After lunch, Jos and I went to check out the rides in the Sesame Street area.

Unfortunately it was cold that day so Jos couldn't try out the Bay of Play water area but we will do it next time! She did convince daddy to go up in the obstacle course with her :)

They also tried their luck at an arcade game. Jos has a good arm and won 5 extra balls but didn't go home with a prize.  

We of course had to check out the penguins, one of Jos's favorite animals. But she calls them pingu's after one of her favorite cartoons :)

Then we went to see the Pets Rule show.  One of my friends said we had to see it because all the stars are animals that were saved from shelters.  Love that because our Abby is a shelter dog!  They did some amazing tricks!

It was all types of animals....dogs, cats and even pigs!

Jos loved it and couldn't stop talking about it after.

Then a bunch of different animals started coming out....birds flying overhead!

Jos also got to go up and pet some of the animals after the show. My little Dr. Dolittle LOVED that!

We went into the small aquarium they have for turtles and fish and then went to see one last show, Sea Lions Live. They spoof TV shows. It was a cute show. I love sea lions.

It was a really fun day as a family! Can't wait to go back again and see even more!
