Date with Mickey and Minnie!

My mom came to visit for a few days and it gave us the perfect excuse to take another trip to Disneyland! I'm happy to say that Joslyn loved this trip even more than the last.  Since our last visit, she has started watching Pixar/Disney movies (her favorites are Toy Story, Bug's Life, Incredibles and Tangled) so she enjoyed the rides a little more and recognized some of the characters. It also helped that Grandma Sue got the Disneyland Explorer app for Joslyn on her iPad.  Her favorite thing to do every morning was to sit on grandma's bed and look at the dolls and choo choo.  Even though she woke up at 6am that morning and didn't take a nap (will I ever have a child that falls asleep in a stroller?), she was the perfect child all day.  She is clearly becoming a huge Disneyland fan :)

We decided to start off with California Adventure first since I thought Joslyn would enjoy the Bug's Life area.  She was a fan of Heimlich's Chew Chew Train but loudly protested getting on Francis' Ladybug boogie so we got off before it even started.  She wasn't a big fan of the dark areas in Ariel's Undersea Adventure either.  We took a break from the rides to walk down the boardwalk (where Grandma Sue bought Jos the most adorable Minnie Mouse hat!) and ran into Andy's toy soldiers and danced with Phineas and Ferb on the way.

Then we decided to head over to Disneyland, where we grabbed lunch, took a ride with Winnie the Pooh, fought the Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters (Jos's clear favorite of the day!) and visited the dolls on It's a Small World.  Next, we went over to visit Goofy at his playhouse (still a Jos favorite because of the slide) and then grandma went on Star Tours while Jos and I played with her new bubble gun.  We ended the day with ice cream, a ride on Space Mountain for me (my favorite!!), a ride on the train (Jos was not scared this time!) and then the Jungle Cruise.  I find it charming that the Jungle Cruise script has not changed at all since I last rode on it....10 years ago.
