Joslyn at 22 months

- figured out how to jump

- is a great flyer now.  Went to SJ and she was the perfect kid there and back, even walked through the airport and onto the plane by herself.  She loves having her own seat on the plane.

- says mommy and daddy now instead of mama and dada

- says "yup" with a strong p at the end now instead of yeah and "no way"

- sings along with us when we sing the ABC's, it's in her own gibberish language but it's pretty cute.  Loves singing along and dancing to songs at storytime. 

- hard to keep her in a stroller or shopping cart, she wants to be out and inspecting things. I usually save special treats (vanilla Starbucks or Jamba Juice are most effective!) for running errands to keep her happy, and strapped in, so I can get things done.  

- says "arm through" when we get her dressed

- figured out how to blow bubbles in the water

- see a big difference in her in the pool.  She relaxes and doesn't scream when the teacher floats her on her back, loves to kick in the water and keeps trying to get out of my arms to swim on her own.  She even floated on her back with no support!  So happy my girl loves the water!
- says "towel" and points to the one we keep by the door when I let Abby in.  She knows we have to wipe Abby's paws first

- went to bouncy place for the first time.  She loved it and showed no fear. I did have to go in after her because she got stuck on a big climbing wall and called for help.  

- says "gasses" for glasses and then says "cool" when she puts any glasses on

- knows more animal names and noises, my favorite is her "ooo ooo" for a monkey.  

- loves when daddy does the "nook nook" noise from Pingu, a penguin claymation she loves watching

- moved on from Toy Story, now loves Monsters Inc or "boo

- changed her naptime to 12p because she started refusing to take naps, worked like a charm and now she's napping great, going down easier at night and waking up less in the middle of the night.  

- trying to get her to stop throwing food on the floor while eating at the table.  She throws it and then yells "abby".

- says "up and down".  We do a song in swim class, the kids in the pool to the tune of wheels on the bus, and she loves the up and down part. 

- saying more words every day.  A few I remember, game (also does the sign), outside, play, towel, tea, heavy (says it when she picks something up), dance, also copied me and said "yeah ya" when I said it. Putting together 2 or more words for small phrases.  

- does this grunt noise and says "ooogh" every time she drops something.  It cracks us up!

- when we ask "how old are you going to be?" she says "twooo".  Still working on holding up two fingers.  She always wants to do just one. 

- says "mommydaddy" when she's upset and wants one of us
- wearing size 6 shoes and 24 months/2T
