- had her 1st birthday party, under the sea theme! (6/11) Perfect baby the entire party. Timid at first with her cake but loved the frosting after the first taste, didn't really want the cake. LOVED the car we got her.
- started giving whole milk in place of late afternoon nursing session. Liked it and drank it out of her sippy cup. Didn't fuss at all to nurse.
- loves going for walks in her car and wagon. Scoots forward if I stop to tell me she wants to keep going.
- answers "yeah" when I ask her questions or she nods her head yes
- loves the Little People car she got for her birthday. Dances when she presses the button that plays music and loves pulling the blocks out of the under seat storage, stacking them in the front and putting them back in the storage. Likes when I push her down the hall in it.
- loves using the wood block walker but has to have a block in her hand when she uses it
- bangs all of her toys on the floor, especially her golf clubs
- throws food on the floor when she eats. I tell her no, she looks at me and throws it anyway.
- off purees at daycare. Jackie is giving her whatever she prepares for lunch and snacks. Still having yogurt and fruit puree in the morning.
- tried giving her sweet potato fries, small peas and pieces of zucchini as finger foods. Didn't want any of them. Also tried giving her rotini pasta with tomatoes and she wouldn't even pick up the pasta. I think it's a texture issue.
- anything she can scoot along the floor, she uses as a walker
- Daddy gave her a taste of his orange juice and she loved it. I watered some down and put it in her cup and she couldn't get enough.
- says "mmmm" when she likes something she's eating or drinking
- loves having turkey and shredded cheese for lunch
- bangs her feet and hands when she doesn't get her way. Oh boy does this girl have attitude!
- loves tooth tissues. Nods her head when I get out the pack and ask if she wants to brush her teeth.
- gave her pieces of a scone and bagel and she would not leave me alone until I gave her more, even if she still had a piece in her mouth. I will never be able to eat a bagel or scone in peace again.
- loved potatoes mashed with milk and cheese
- will eat pasta but only if I feed it to her and with a puree on it for a sauce
- shakes her head "no" all the time. Very clear she understands our questions.
- down to only a morning and bedtime nursing session. A little difficult to get her down for a nap without nursing first but we'll keep working on it.
- making a sign that looks like "milk" but does it even after she just had some
- loves dancing with me
- loved sitting on a blanket at the park with her puffs and milk and looking at all the kids. Also loved going down the slide with Mommy.
- responds to no. Sometimes she'll listen and stop what she's doing, sometimes she looks at us and keeps doing it.
- loves breaded zucchini chips
- she has a million faces and they all make me laugh
- curious about everything. If she sees you do something once, she will do it.
- throws her food on the floor all the time, and her sippy cup
- says "oooo" and "uh oh" all the time
- discovered the tupperware drawer when Grandma Z was babysitting her. It will keep her occupied for a long time.
- takes 2 naps but is resisting the afternoon nap
- puts her books back on the shelf, sometimes
- 1st craft project (7/1), lobster hand and footprint. She didn't like the feel of the paint on her hands or foot.
- went to her 1st parade, Westchester 4th of July parade (7/4). Loved the music and looking at all the people.
- tried out her turtle sandbox. Had to have all her buckets and beach toys in there at once.
- loves being thrown up in the air and hung upside down
- figured out how to move backwards in her Little People car but hasn't figured out how to go forward
- always trying to open the coffee table drawers and takes out everything that's in them
- standing without support for longer periods of time. When we try to get her to walk to us, she thinks about it and then plops down on her butt unless a hand is in reach for support. She's so close to walking!
- wants to feed herself and is working on using a spoon.
- must have puffs at all times when we're out of the house. If she sees the plastic container I put them in, she has to have it.
- think she may be left handed. Grabs everything with her left hand.
- bangs on the pantry or the fridge and signs "eat". Signing "milk" more often.
- puts everything on her head. Grandma Z taught her this.
- has 6 teeth. Not that fussy and sleeping well even with all the teeth coming in.
- wearing size 12 months
