Life According to Z: Joslyn at 20 months

- loves guacamole, will eat only that if it's on her plate. Also loves ketchup.
- says banana, bana-na-na-na-na
- lets me put clips in her hair now but only if she suggests it first
- loves helping me bake
- will climb anything, no fear. If she sees a bigger kid do it, she's next in line. No problem going down the big kid slides either.
- loved the trampoline and bars at gymnastics. Held on tight to the bar and didn't stop smiling.
- horrible at sharing. Even if she's not playing with the toy or it's a swing in a public park, she gets mad if another kid touches it.
- got her 1st passport! (2/24)
- can climb on my desk chair and I've caught her sitting on top of her table also
- we say "bite bite bite" and she'll respond with "no no no". She does learn things from Yo Gabba Gabba!
- loves jumping on the bed, while saying "jump jump jump"
- can roll all by herself. She loved when we would help her do it and then she figured it out herself.
- went to Disneyland for the 1st time (3/2)! A little overwhelmed by everything but loved the playground in Toontown, the Tiki Room (except for the thunder part), the dolls coming out of the clock at It's a Small World and the parade music (danced like crazy!).
- covers her face with her hands and say "boobie" when she wants to play peek a boo
- holds up a finger and says "un more"
- says "bubble" when she wants to watch something on Netflix because one of the baby programs on there has bubbles in it
- saying more and more words: sit, up, down, cupcake, potty, coffee, happy, crying, nice, friend, share, slide, doll...the list goes on and on!
- can point to and name her eyes, nose, mouth, chin and ears
- can blow bubbles all by herself. Took her some time to realize she didn't need to put her mouth on the bubble wand to do it.
- keeps picking up more signs: tree, share, nice, stars, potty (doesn't quite get what it means though, signs it whenever she hears running water), go, train, doll
- I'll ask her to give me a squeeze and she will give me a big hug and say "squue"
- likes to sleep with her little Brobee doll and Glowie (still)
- if you say you have a boo boo, she will kiss it
- hangs from everything, the bars at the top of slides, railings, the coffee table, the back of chairs
- when the funny face part comes on Yo Gabba Gabba, she sticks out her tongue and makes funny faces
- had her 1st swim lesson (3/9), did great! Floated on her back and went underwater four times.
- getting better about saying please and thank you, after you ask her to say it.
- loves going down slides and getting pushed in a swing
- wearing size 5 shoes still but moving into size 6
- packed up all her 18 months, wearing 24 months and 2T
