Mommy & Daughter Trip

The great thing about being a stay-at-home mom is that I can take trips with Joslyn whenever I want and not worry about asking for vacation.  Last week, we left Daddy at home and took a trip to San Jose to visit my family.  I started flying with Joslyn when she was 3 months and it has really helped make flying easy with her now.  On this trip she even walked through the airport on her own and walked down the runway to the plane. My baby girl is growing up! She happily sat in her chair (we were lucky and the plane wasn't full so she got her own seat both ways) with her juice, snack cup and iPad. I love that my girl is a pro traveler already!  We had big plans for the week but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate.  It rained almost the entire time we were there but we managed to have fun anyway!  Our trips to San Jose are always very busy and this one was no different.  We went to the Children's Discovery Museum, did a little shopping, had a play date with a friend, went to the park, walked to downtown Willow Glen and spent a lot of time with family!  It was a fun week spent with those I love the most.

Uncle B taught her how to catch a ball and she practiced with grandma.

She loved the Children's Discovery Museum! There is a similar museum near us so we need to take her there one day.

She would have kept going over this bridge all day if we didn't convince her there were other things to see.

We took her to the Wonder Cabinet, an area specifically for toddlers.

She took this contraption very seriously and had to put every ball in the hole, no matter who got in her way.

She sat down for a little tea party with grandma. Love this shot I got of them in a mirror.

We took her to the museum because we knew there was a bubbles section and it didn't disappoint!

We saved the water section for last since we knew she would get soaked.

And she did.

We went over to grandpa's house for lunch one day.

He even let her play with his autographed baseballs.

And she tried on some of his hats :)

Grandpa had Capri Suns, her favorite rare treat.

Grandma scoped out a park before we got there since she knows Joslyn loves slides.

Grandma even went down the slide with her a couple times.

Then we walked to downtown Willow Glen and went to Hicklebee's. I LOVE this bookstore and couldn't resist buying her a book!

Uncle B had us over for dinner one night and her cousins Logan and Milo came over too to play.

Grandma bought her a rooster balloon and she walked it through the mall.

She had more fun with bubbles with Uncle B and grandma.
